Morristown Students Say 'Farewell' to High School

360 received diplomas Thursday at Mennen Arena.

It may have been roasting outside, but the students that comprised the Class of 2012–and the many that came to cheer their accomplishments–were cool and comfy inside Mennen Arena Thursday as their high school careers officially came to a close.

In total, 360 students from Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains flipped their caps in the air, marking the end of what has been many years under the tutelage of the Morris School District. Some of those, like Maggie Manning, merged life inside and outside of school as she embraced her father Mark, the principal of Freylinghuysen Middle School as she received her diploma.

Valedictorian Victoria Lin, , asked that graduates remember above all else, to be bold (quoting LMFAO in the process), be kind and, most importantly, be happy. It was a fitting conclusion to over a decade of education for the hundreds of students closing the book on this chapter in their lives.
