Morristown High School Students Prep for Graduation this Week

Also, several liquor license renewals will be approved at this week's town council meeting

Cap and gowns are ready and Morristown High School seniors are ready to turn their tassels at Mennen Arena this Wednesday. Following the graduation is Project Graduation, an all-night party from 9 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hilton Parsippany. Morris School District buses will leave the high school at 9:45 p.m. and will return to the high school by 4:30 a.m. All backpacks will be collected during the sign in period and returned to students upon arrival at the Hilton Parsippany.

Morristown Town Council

Morristown town council will meet this Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at town hall.

Minister Samaria Tillman of Calvary Baptist Church is looking for approval for a parking space for the free mobile HIV test van at Morristown Green for this upcoming Saturday.

The Morristown Partnership’s special improvement district budget will be presented. Several liquor license renewals need approval as well.

Jockey Hollow at Vail Mansion

The Special Redevelopment Agency will meet on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at town hall.

On its agenda is a resolution to allow an alcohol permit at Vail Mansion for the Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen.

Planning Board

The Morristown Planning Board will meet on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at town hall.

New York SMSA dba Verizon Wireless at 95 Madison Ave. is looking to install a standy-by generator for wireless equipment. Forrest Realty at 114 Franklin Street is asking to do minor site plan work on its parking court with lighting and landscaping.

Also, the location of 182 South Street is asking for a variance to operate a private school facility. There will be a public hearing on this matter at this meeting.
