Play Some Sports, Get Your Mind Off Dental Work

Editor John Dunphy's back soon, but e-mail any crucial news to Louis@Patch.com today.

Every day, we bring you 5 useful nuggets of info about life in Morristown. And this time, boy, do we have a mouthful for you:

  1. You Need To Know That Dental Surgery Can Be A Real Pain: Morristown Editor John Dunphy is still recovering from a not-so-pleasant visit to the dentist's chair, so send any urgent news or inquiries to his boss (also, sometimes a real pain), Louis C. Hochman, at Louis@Patch.com. John will be back shortly, and a team of well-trained gnomes will keep the site moving along until then.
  2. You Need to Know That Dental Surgery Doesn't HAVE to Be a Real Pain: John's troubles remind us that now's as good a time as any to plug our comprehensive directory of Morristown-based dentists. Check out their listings, leave reviews and ratings, or see what others who've poked around the directory previously may have to say. Leave useful information and spare others from pain. Our overall directory includes just about every publicly accessible location in town (let us know if we missed anything, though), so you can check out restaurants, shopping destinations, arts venues and a whole lot else.
  3. You Need To Know That The County Wants To Hear From You: Morris County's Freeholders are crafting their budget, and they say they want resident input. Comments can be sent to the county public information office at jgarifo@co.morris.nj.us.
  4. You Need to Know The Colonials Are In Action: Morristown High School's boys and girls varsity track teams are at Drew University at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday for the Morris County Championship (and we've got coverage on the way). Boys varsity ice hockey takes on Randolph at home at 5:45 p.m. The JV wrestlers are up against Delbarton, also at home, at 6 p.m., and their varsity counterparts head up against Delbarton at 7 p.m.
  5. You Need To Know You Can Get Your OWN Game On: Jersey Club Sports is a provider of co-ed sports leagues and social events in Morris County. Its winter leagues are almost sold-out, but there's still time to register as a "free agent" for volleyball, flag football and indoor soccer. Teams spots are still open for Indoor soccer and bowling. . For more information on just what JCS is,

As always, for more things worth knowing, see our events calendar and announcements—and if you've got something the community should know, don't forget to make a post of your own in one or both of those site sections.
