Schools Closed, Parenting Seminar Postponed to March

Morris School District and Morris Plains School District dip into the snow days for Wednesday.

Another round of snow and subzero temperatures has closed the Morris School District and Morris Plains School District on Wednesday and has pushed off the parenting seminar scheduled for 7 p.m. to March 5.

According to Jeff Paul of the Morris County Office of Emergency Management the heaviest snow fall passed by 10 p.m. Tuesday night and the Morris County road crews have a deployment plan in place for Wednesday as "we move into our clean-up mode."

Paul did urge caution as high winds will remain a concern.

"We still may experience wind gusts of 20-30 MPH which will result in blowing and drifting snow," Paul said.

And we know that means more time for the family to frolic out in the snow! And we want to see your photos on our site. They can be of trees coated in ice, snow piles, snow angels and all of the other standard things that come with winter storms.

Or like Morristown resident Dan Betzel, you can get creative and send us something a little more offbeat!
