Leverage Gift Greenbacks Locally This Holiday Season

Morristown Partnership's popular commerce program helps shoppers and businesses this holiday season.

The end of Nov. marks is the middle of the biggest shopping weekend of the year and Nov. 30 marks Small Business Saturday returning to Morristown.

Small Business Saturday is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores respectively. By contrast, Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local.

This year, the Morristown Partnership’s annual Gift Greenbacks gift certificate program is coming back with a twist, according to Morristown Partnership's Marketing Director Jennifer Wehring.

The Partnership allocates $10,000 of its annual budget to provide Morristown shoppers with the 'Gift Greenback' gift certificate incentive, which offers shoppers a $10 gift certificate to shop and dine at over 200 Downtown Morristown businesses for every $50 dollars purchased in Morristown Partnership Gift Certificates,.

The twist, according to Wehring, is that on Small Business Saturday, for every $50 of gift certificates that shoppers buy, the greenback amount doubles from $10 to $20.
