Dungee Jumps to State Wrestling Quarterfinals

Colonials' grappler wins two matches Friday.

Morristown sent two grapplers Friday to Atlantic City for the NJSIAA state wrestling championships. Only one advanced to Saturday's quarterfinals.

The Colonials' Darren Dungee (215 pounds) grabbed a 3-0 victory over Phillipsburg's Brandon Hull in the pre-quarterfinals. Dungee controlled most of the match, using his strength to stymie Hull.

It was a different story for 145-pound Desmond Towns. He lost to Shore Regional's Luke Bush, 3-1, in the preliminary round.
