Helena, a 10 year old Morristown resident was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease over a year ago.   Crohn's disease is a painful, medically incurable illnesses that attack the digestive system. Symptoms may include abdominal pain, persistent diarrhea, rectal bleeding, fever, weight loss and fatigue.

After learning about her diagnoses, Helena at 9 years old  decided to learn more about the disease and  the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, and how she could raise funds and awareness by participating in a walk held by the Foundation.  In 2011, Helena and her family raised $18,000 for the walk and this year they have raised over $28,000 to date for the foundation.  With the help of Ananda Yoga and their staff, Helena and her family are inviting local resident to come out for the Yoga Event to show their support and enjoy a great yoga session.
