Roberto's Kids - donate used baseball equipment

OVERVIEW Roberto s Kids is a collection program designed to deliver new and gently used baseball and softball equipment to children in the United States, Africa and Latin America including Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Mexico. Steve Pindar of Oneonta, NY and Steve Tremitiere of Newtown, PA, have teamed with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the family of the late Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente to create this program. “The goal of Roberto s Kids is to collect and distribute equipment from baseball leagues, charitable organizations, individuals or retailers in the United States and Canada and provide that equipment to those in Latin American countries where baseball is loved and played with passion,” says Hall of Fame President Dale Petroskey. “As a not-for-profit, educational institution, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum has the responsibility to connect generations, and we are grateful for the commitment of the Clemente family, Steve Pindar and Steve Tremitiere and others to deliver the right tools to the next generation of baseball stars.” WHERE: Burnham Park, Morristown, NJ WHEN: Saturday, April 14, 2012 8:30AM-4:30PM All collected equipment must be new or “gently used”. Baseball and softball equipment that can be donated includes: • Gloves • Bats • Balls • Catcher s Equipment • Bases • Batting Helmets • Cleats & Sneakers • Uniforms, hats, and socks
