Morristown Pushes West Morris Central Before Falling in OT

The Morristown High football team nearly pulled off the upset Friday night.

The seventh-seeded Colonials stayed with No. 2 West Morris Central before falling 13-7 on Connor Thompson's 1-yard touchdown run in the first round of the North Jersey Section 2, Group 4 state tournament, according to NJ.com.

Morristown forced overtime on Jordan Powell's 27-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that tied the game at 7, the report said.
