A Morristown High School student-athlete was honored recently by the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association, bringing home a college scholarship, too.

Sean Hoehn, who propelled the Colonials basketball team to new heights during the 2013-14 season and eclipsed 1,000 points for his career, received recognition from the state association and was given a $500 scholarship from the Morris County Ice Hockey club.

Hoehn was one of 29 student-athletes in Morris County to be recognized by the NJSIAA.

A total of $11,500 in scholarships was awarded to 16 of the student athletes at the ceremony, with random drawings.
