Photos: Morristown High School Boys Tennis Readies for April 1 Opener

The Colonials will face off against Mendham High School in their first game of the season.

Entering , Coach Pat Mattos said she is very excited about her boys tennis team, which opens its season against Mendham High School on April 1.

Finishing last year with a 7-11 record, Mattos said she knew it was a rebuilding period for the Morristown High School boys tennis team because of the loss of so many seniors from the previous season.

This year, formerly green players have become seasoned veterans, and Mattos said she is especially happy about a new member, sophomore C.J. Katz, who has played tennis since he was five-years-old. A light-hearted but focused player, the coach said she feels his presence and talents will have a ripple effect on the entire team.
