Touchdown! Club Gets $4K

Barnabas Health-provided donation to fund pre-game meals, among other uses.

The Colonials Touchdown Club recently received a $4,000 sponsorship donation from Barnabas Health.

Much of the donation, awarded earlier this month, will be used for the football team's pre-game meals, said Board of Education member Terri Murphy.

Michael Ostrowsky, a Florham Park-based lawyer and vice president of the Touchdown Club, contacted his brother Barry, who is CEO of the Livingston-based hospital. "He spoke to the board about it and they decided to make a commitment to be a supporter of the team," Ostrowsky said. "They take on causes they believe in. This is one they wanted to do and we're very thankful and appreciative."

Ostrowsky, whose son is a sophomore linebacker on the team, noted Barnabas would have banners at the field for the entire season.

"The timing of it was great," he said.
