It’s not looking great out there and with several flash flood warnings issued for the area, doesn’t seem like the rain will let up anytime soon.

The National Weather Service issued the following for Morris County:

  • Flash Flood Warning – until 1 p.m. Monday
  • Flash Warning – until 4:45 p.m. Monday
  • Flash Flood Watch – until 8 p.m. Tuesday

NOAA reports a 90 percent chance of precipitation for Monday afternoon. That percentage will decrease as the hours go by, down to 80 percent tonight and then 70 percent on Tuesday. On Wednesday, chance of precipitation drops to 40 percent. There may be thunderstorms for the next few days.

With the many fourth of July events set up for this week, hopefully Mother Nature will be a little more forgiving as the week goes on.
