Help Others, Get Involved, Get Connected Through Outreach!

Opportunities to better your community locally, nationally and internationally at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown!

The Presbyterian Church in Morristown is a Church family that is engaged. We help people in Morristown, nationally and internationally. And we offer a wide range of mission activities for children, youth, adults and families. Our goal is to help those in need through our involvement. If you are already active in mission, or are looking to re-connect - we want you to join us!

On Sundays in April and May, 2012, we will highlight events in which you can participate now - by bringing food, walking for AIDS, or traveling to help where the need is great. Your participation is the key to improving the lives of people in need.

May Food Drive~ May 6 ~With the arrival of spring, the Interfaith Food Pantry starts preparing for summer when its clients’ demands remain, but its donations drop off. In an effort to help the Pantry start the summer with well-stocked shelves, we will hold our annual May Food Drive on Sunday, May 6. Donated items may be brought to church on that Sunday or put in the bins at the Parish House the week before. Of course, the bins are there all year to welcome your regular donations.

AIDS Walk, Morristown ~ May 6 ~ Join The Presbyterian Church in Morristown and hundreds of walkers in making AIDS History in the Garden State! Organizations from every region of the state of New Jersey have joined together to unify efforts and produce a single state-wide event, the New Jersey AIDS Walk! On this day, in seven locations across NJ, at exactly the same time of day, thousands upon thousands of people will walk in solidarity to support of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. With more than 35,000 people currently living with HIV/AIDS in New Jersey, we have never needed the community’s support more.

Join us in fighting this pandemic by supporting the thousands of people with HIV/AIDS in the Garden State by walking with PCM for the 2012 New Jersey AIDS Walk.  The walk steps off from the Green at 1 pm.  All are welcome to join us!

Joplin Trip ~ May 27-June 2 ~ Please join the 2nd trip to help the victims of the May 2011 tornado devastation in Joplin, Missouri.  This follow-up trip is planned to do Clean-up Stage Two:  the rebuilding of homes.  We will work through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance with housing provided by the First Presbyterian Church in Joplin. There will be many ways to serve - any and all skills are appreciated and the people of Joplin are very welcoming and grateful for our service

Kenya Trip with Foundation for Peace ~ June 27-July 10 ~ support AIDS volunteers, present Project Hope kits, build onto school for ByGrace orphanage, help-out at free medical clinic, and visit our sister church in Eastleigh.  Please contact Pastor Alloway directly to register for this life-changing opportunity.
