Dream Builders' Bash Raises Nearly $200K for Homeless Solutions
More than 300 people attended 14th annual event.
Homeless Solutions Inc. held its 14th annual Dream Builders’ Bash at the Westin Governor Morris in Morristown and raised more than $195,000 in support of Homeless Solutions shelter programs.
There were 315 attendees who joined Dorothy, the Scarecrow and all the gang at the Wizard of Oz themed event for dinner, dancing, Silent and Live Auctions, a Wine Pull, and Jewelry Raffle by John Herold Jewelers of Randolph.
The Board of Homeless Solutions honored Helen and Grant Parr for their years of philanthropic support, guidance and dedication to Homeless Solutions.
As founder of the Cardiac Surgery Program at Morristown Memorial Hospital and a founder of the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Grant has been an active member of the Morris County community for more than 30 years.
In addition, volunteer Mary Kennon was recognized with the Mary Van Kirk Volunteer Spirit Award for her longtime commitment and enthusiasm in support of Homeless Solutions and those they serve. Kennon began preparing and serving one meal per month for guests at the Homeless Solutions shelter in 1999. Over the years, her husband, Kenny, and her children have also become involved and joined her on her monthly visits.
