Any Lord of the Ring Fans? Get your Frodo Fix

The Morristown Council meets tonight as well

"One Ring to Rule Them All"

Are you a Lord of the Rings fan? This is your lucky week, head over to the Morristown-Morris Township Library, which is featuring a week of Peter Jackson films adapted from the writer J.R.R. Tolkien, according to Chad Leinaweaver of the library.

The free series of the Lord of the Rings films will be held Monday-Thursday the week of August 12 with each film beginning at 5 p.m.  Refreshments will be served.  This program is supported through funding from the Friends of the Morristown & Morris Township Library.

The Sail Rock concert is coming to MPAC Tuesday night at 8 p.m. Set sail with the best of 70s soft rock, starring Christopher Cross (“Sailing,” “Arthur’s Theme” “Ride Like the Wind”),Orleans (”Still the One,” “Dance with Me”), Gary Wright (“Dream Weaver”), John Ford Coley (“I’d Really Love to See You Tonight,” “Nights Are Forever Without You”), Player (“Baby Come Back”), Robbie Dupree (“Steal Away”) and Firefall (“You Are the Woman”), according to MPAC.

Join the Morris Museum for its monthly Centennial Teas, which highlights different decades of the Morris Museum’s Collection. On Tuesday at 2 p.m., it’s 80s Fashion Tea. Light refreshments are provided and advance registration is suggested. It’s $10 per person and for tickets, call 973.971.3706.

Join Dr. Abby Lillethun, Fashion Studies Professor at Montclair State University, as she takes you back to explore the fashions of a “totally awesome” decade, according to the Morris Museum Then enjoy a tour of “An Evening of Elegance” and learn about some of the fashions from the 80s all part of the Morris Museum Collection.

At the Morristown-Morris Township Library, there’s Pre-School Craft Story Time at 10 a.m. Come listen to some stories and make a simple craft to take home. All supplies provided and the activity is sponsored by The Friends of the Library.
