Alleged drunken driver nails parked car, lawmakers scuffling over Greystone and the new Pita Grill also made headlines.

Busy, busy week in Morristown and here we have the news that you may have missed (in no particular order).

On Saturday a sea of Santas took a break from their holiday preparations to live it up in Morristown, while over in Morris Township Santa was questioned by a church for not having “died for anyone.”

Lawmakers threw down over the disposition of the Greystone property at the nexus of Parsippany, Denville, Morris Plains and Morris Township, as local officials differed with state senators (and each other) on the best course of action for what remains of the New Jersey State Lunatic Asylum at Morristown.

In another on for the miracle books, the Morristown Police arrested a drunken driver who plowed into a parked car and no one was hurt.

In much more positive news, a new organization of women business owners are holding their first networking meeting in Jan. and are looking for members and volunteers.

And finally, the new Pita Grill opened to much fanfare this week and I went there myself on Wednesday. Food was excellent, the service was very good…but it is a little dark in there, lighting wise. You guys check it out yet?
