ShopRite is the best store in the area, They have the best horse radish and much better organics, much cheaper, than Trader Joe and Whole Paycheck!!

Been living in Morristown for over 20 years and always shopped at King's. Stopped by the A&P last year after reading an article in The Patch and been a steady customer ever since. Better prices, better choices, and much better service than King's. Store is small, and gives it a small town feel. Sure, the parking lot is pitted and cramped and you might have to fight the alignment on a few of the shopping carts, but it is all part of its charm.

PS I check the expiration dates wherever I shop. You don't?? Never been a problem at A&P or King's.

Great store, super staff very helpful. I believe they were the first store back in running condition after Irene, and all with their own manpower. They are wide open to suggestions so just ask if you want them to stock something you don't see. The loyal customer following is proof of their commitment to service and the attitudes are always friendly. Just a great "home town" store, smaller than some other markets but it more than makes up for space with service.

Ps. That "check the dates" review is baloney, I've been shopping their for almost 30 years and never seen an expired date on anything. They are scrupulous about keeping that old store clean and it always smells fresh and nice.

Check your expiration dates!! When I first moved to Morristown, I would shop here and realize when I got home, about 25% of my groceries were expired. Later I started checking dates on everything before purchasing. One time I was ordering deli meat in the back, and noticed almost all of the meats in the window (including the one the guy used to slice my ham), had expired dates on them. How could they not be keeping up with this? The place sometimes smells really bad and is NEVER clean. Would you eat at a restaurant that looked like this? Why would you want to buy your groceries here. I now drive to Stop and Shop in Morris Plains, where it is clean and surprisingly cheaper prices. If you do need to drop in and get something here, just make sure to check the dates.

A centennial Colonial style classic. What a treat to visit this particular location. And while the footprint may be compact, it is the only store in the immediate area that sells Premium Gold Angus beef, Via Roma authentic Italian food products, Green Way natural and organic food, dairy, veggies and household cleaning and paper products, Live Better OTC health products, Market Spa personal care products, and especially Jane Parker fruit cake. Wow, one stop shopping for classic and healthy foods.
