The Church of the Redeemer is an Episcopal parish in the Diocese of Newark. The church was founded in 1852 by a group of people who were originally members of St. Peter's Church in Morristown. The church performed its first same-sex blessing in 1991 and now offers programs and events that reflect its varied congregation. The Parish House also serves as the location of the Community Soup Kitchen, route: {:controller=>"listings", :action=>"show", :id=>"community-soup-kitchen"} --> and Empty Bowl Zendo. The former rectory behind the church is now the<!-- name:  Eric Johnson House.
