This doctor (Dr. Jacobwitz) is not someone who I wish to consult again. I informed him that I was raped when I was twelve, and the rapist urinated inside me. This rape left a bacteria that I still have not been able to deal with even today. I have been back to see this doctor several times (without telling him the reason behind it), and he tells me, "It's a bacteria, and I don't know which one it is." He has never made an effort to find out which one it is and prescribe something that can help. When I asked him what type of medication I could use to clear it up his response was, "I don't know. You can try an over the counter medication for a yeast infection." Firstly, you should never hear, "I don't know" from any doctor unless they haven't conducted tests. In this case, he did conduct tests. I tried the yeast infection treatment, and that never helped. Secondly, I read that doctors should never prescribe a yeast infection treatment unless they have diagnosed it as a yeast infection. Doing so can cause a yeast infection to form without existing in the first place. I'm sure Dr. Jacobwitz knew this. I returned years later (during college) and told him the reason behind the infection thinking that he might have an ounce of compassion for my situation, and he called me a whore and kicked me out of his office. When I told him that I would report him to the BBB of New Jersey, he threatened that he would take to court. This is not a nice man at all.

I have been a patient in this office for 2 ½ years. If you have complications, BEWARE and GET A 2nd OPINION. I had a miscarriage a year ago and was also diagnosed with fibroids. I had a surgical procedure called a myomectomy to remove my uterine fibroids. At my post-op appointment, there was no follow up saline-sonogram to make sure my uterus was ok. After 6 months, I got pregnant again. During this pregnancy, I never felt it was right. Every time I called with concerns, I felt like they didn’t hear my concerns and I was told “not to worry”. When I started bleeding, I showed up at their office in a panic and explained that I thought I was miscarrying. They sent me home, telling me I would be fine, without letting me even talk to a doctor! Well, I DID have another miscarriage after all. It turns out that during the myomectomy surgery, some fibroids were left behind (which may have caused the second miscarriage) and that I would need another myomectomy. When a doctor called me to discuss my prognosis with me and I asked her questions, she rudely stated “I don’t know. I have to get home and I have 10 more patients to call. I have to go”. I have since gone to a specialist in NYC, where I finally received answers to my questions.I am recovering from my second myomectomy with an excellent prognosis, and I am hoping to move on with my life. I had so much frustration and anger because of the way I was treated by Morristown Obstetrics.
