Long closed, what would you like to see here?
This week, "Occupy This Space" returns after a hiatus to look at a location that has always–as far as Morristown Patch is concerned–lain fallow. Camille's Sidewalk Cafe, once a franchised sandwich shop with multiple New Jersey locations, left The Garden State several years ago. With locations in several states, its footprint is most prominent in Oklahoma (seven locations) and California (nine locations). Morristown's Camille's closed up shop prior to Morristown Patch's launch in August 2010. Despite nearly two years, ghosts of its sandwich-serving past remain at its former location on the corner of South and Madison streets. Signage is still up, including a sidewalk sign that boasts "Now Open ... Come Try Us." Since that's not going to …

Two-unit dwelling at 18 Willow St. expected to be built in 2013.
Morris Habitat for Humanity is returning to Morristown for another Willow Street project. The Morris County arm of the international homebuilder for low and moderate income families plans to build a two-family house at 18 Willow St., near their last Morristown project, 37 Willow St., which was finished in 2010. The Zoning Board of Adjustment approved several variances on the project Wednesday night, which now allows the non-profit to purchase the privately-owned property. "We're thrilled to be working on Willow Street again," said Liz DeCoursey, director of operations for Morris Habitat. The two units, three-bedroom main floor and two-bedroom second floor, represent the fifth and sixth Habitat for Humanity projects on Willow Street and …

"You Park Stupid" Facebook page shines light on questionable parking skills.
Needed a caffeine fix at the Madison Starbucks and the Handicapped space was the closest one to sweet latte luxury? You might want to think twice before taking the chance, because a new Facebook page, "You Park Stupid," might just call you out on that decision. The page was started by Somerville resident John Flores, who was getting ticked off when he kept seeing the same bad parking job while visiting his father at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. "Some days they were parked OK, but most days they were parked awfully," he said. "I shared photos on my personal wall and got a lot of friends talking about it. That's when the lightbulb went off and the small group started." Since then, "You Park Stupid" has finger-wagged a number …
Police advise motorists to plan alternate routes
The third annual Superhero Half Marathon will be Sunday at the Ginty Field Complex, so police are warning motorists to watch out for detours and delays. The 6.5-mile course will cause traffic detours on Woodland Avenue, Spring Valley Road, South Street, and Southgate Parkway in Morris Township, and on Loantaka Way and Spring Valley Road in Harding and Chatham Township. Road closures will begin at approximately 8:20 am and last for approximately 3 hours. Morris Township Police said all effort will be made to maintain a continuous one-way flow of traffic around course, but drivers should try to avoid the area and plan alternate routes. Police are anticipating more than 2,000 runners at the event. During the run, several participants dress up…

Christie also addresses video parody with Newark mayor during his East Hanover meeting.
The focus Wednesday of Gov. Chris Christie's 79th Town Hall meeting was the governor's proposed 10 percent, across-the-board tax cuts. Christie, speaking at the East Hanover Fire Department, said he's determined to deliver the tax break New Jersey residents have been waiting for. “The people of New Jersey haven’t had a tax cut in over a decade," he said. "You’ve made the sacrifices that were necessary to step up and help me balance this budget, and I want to give you some of your money back to spend on your family, not to spend in Trenton." Christie looks to accomplish this despite some opposition across county lines. According to Christie, two of those opposing the proposal in particular—Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald (D-Camden) …

J. Michael Adams has been on medical leave since October.
Fairleigh Dickinson University President J. Michael Adams announced Wednesday he would step down in June after ongoing medical issues have made it impossible for him to lead the school. Adams, 64, has been on medical leave since October while undergoing treatment for myelodysplastic syndrome, which impacts bone marrow and impairs blood production. In a message to the university, Adams said he was later diagnosed with a cancer known as acute myeloid leukemia. “Since I was named president 13 years ago, I have done everything I could to serve our amazing students. The opportunity to work with all of you has been the greatest joy of my professional life. However, I have reluctantly concluded that my continuing medical issues make it impossible…
