Edward Jones to Occupy Former Tart & Tufo
Crews are set to transform former froyo joint into an investment firm.
Apparently, one Morristown business trend is replacing another. The Mutual Fund Store just opened in a nearby space that had been empty since at least Morristown Patch's inception. And, before anyone could take a breath, crews were seen Monday setting to turning the former Tart & Tufo--arguably the lead horse in the frozen yogurt phenomenon--into an Edward Jones Investments. A person at property owner The Silverman Group could not confirm an opening date. Ask some (or, just go through many of our snarkier, saltier comments over the past two-and-a-half years) and they may tell you these investment advisory firms are just an extension of the bank trend that swallowed up a lot of real estate in Morristown over the past decade. I'm glad that there is not an empty storefront here in MTwn but we already have too many Banks & Investment firms on street level. When I first moved to MTwn - the green was a vibrant and interesting collection of retail stores - people shopping, strolling and socializing. Now customers come, do their business and leave.
