Cops: Suspected Drug Deal Leads to Stolen Goods

What was originally believed to be a drug deal on May 22 turned out to be an exchange of stolen goods, totaling nearly $500, police said. Jerman Richardson, 21, of Speedwell Avenue, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property at 7:40 p.m. after Tyrone Wilfong, 33, of Cobb Place, dropped a blue bag containing four GPS devices totaling $486 and fled the scene. According to the police report filed by Officer Michael Urena, off-duty officer Victor Gallardo had called in the possible drug deal, saying he had observed two black males—later identified as Richardson and Wilfong—in a green Mercury in a parking lot in the vicinity of Henry Street and Speedwell Avenue.
