Kim Brown Proves She's a Character While Visiting Alfred Vail School
The inspiration behind the character D.W. from the popular children's book and television series, "Arthur", spoke with students at Alfred Vail about her famous brother.
Kim Brown saw her childhood spring back to life when her older brother, Marc, created the popular children's series, "Arthur," 35 years ago. Brown, the inspiration for the character D.W., Arthur's pesky little sister, visited Alfred Vail School for its annual Author Day on Friday, Nov. 12, and spoke with students about her famous brother, the value of finding inspiration in real life and the power of imagination. As feisty and energetic as the fictional personality fashioned after her, Brown, wore a "D.W." t-shirt that read "I'm not bossy, I'm assertive."
