Superheroes Run on Super Bowl Sunday
The second-annual Super Sunday 4-Miler is anticipated to draw over 1,100 runners to Morristown on Feb. 3.
It may not completely make up for all the food, booze and sedentary activity expected on Super Bowl Sunday, but it certainly doesn't hurt. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, downtown Morristown will be the stage for the second-annual Superhero 4-Miler run. Registration for the event can be done at the Superhero Events website or on the day of the run. Heather McDermott, manager of the Morristown Running Company and one of the lead organizer for the Sunday run noted Super Bowl Sunday is traditionally a big day for eating. "It's the second biggest next to Thanksgiving," she said. "This is a good way to burn some of those calories." Last year, the inaugural run brought 1,100 runners.
