Lenape Indian Family Day

Long before New Jersey was known for its malls and highways, the state was inhabited by the Lenape Indians.  John Kraft, the creator and director of Lenape Lifeways, will present an engaging demonstration that explores the culture of the Lenape Indians using authentic and recreated objects to teach about Lenape masks, clothing, musical instruments, and tools.  Other activities include making a cornhusk doll, weaving, hands-on exploration of Native American Artifacts, and learning about Native American legends and constellations.  For more information, please email programs@morrismuseum.org.
