St. Patrick’s Day Parade Set for March 15 in Morristown

Annual event draws thousands to downtown Morristown.

Some Christmas lights are still hanging from gutters and wreaths are still on some doors, but that hasn’t stopped Morristown officials from finalizing the next big holiday event in town, the annual county St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

At Tuesday night’s meeting of the mayor and council the governing body set the date for this year’s celebration of all things green for March 15. As usual the parade is on Saturday, two days before the official Monday holiday.

In the past, people in green garb line the streets and circle the Morristown Green to witness a grand tradition of bands, performers and firetrucks.
