Morristown to Talk Leased Parking Spaces this Week

The Morris School District will hold a board of education meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Monday

Several tax appeal settlements will be discussed in executive session on Tuesday

The town council will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to discuss several items including an ordinance authorizing the lease of up to 140 parking spaces on a month-to month basis at 200 South Street at a minimum price of $80 per space per month.

Also on the agenda is an ordinance appropriating about $1 million from the Sewer Capital Improvement Fund for various sewer improvements in and by the town.

One item that’s going to be introduced is an agenda item that will add a dedicated handicapped parking space for a resident on Lake Road.

  • The vacancy on the Morristown Board of Adjustment due to the resignation of second alternate Brian McShane
  • The upcoming Sept. 5 vacancy on the Morristown Housing Authority.
  • The vacancy on the Morristown Parking Authority due to the resignation of Michael Elms.

Two Morristown town meetings were canceled this week:

  • The Parking Authority meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m.
  • The Town Redevelopment meeting originally scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m.
