New Morristown Eatery Seeks Outdoor Dining Approval This Week

Bike & Walk Morristown will reveal the bike corral they won from a national contest on Friday

The Taco Truck is coming into Morristown permanently. They’re looking to set up shop next to the 7-eleven at the corner of Morris and Spring streets. There will be seating inside, but for a sunny day, they’re looking to offer outdoor dining as well.

On the agenda for Thursday’s Morristown Planning Board meeting is The Taco Truck’s proposed outdoor dining area. It will measure 576 square feet.

For more information about The Taco Truck, go to this Patch article. The planning board meets on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at town hall.

Earlier this spring, Morristown bikers rejoiced.  The official results for the 2013 Saris Bike Corral Photo Contest were revealed in April with Morristown on top.

This national contest started in March with submitted entries from across the nation and Morristown beat out the final two.

This Friday, join Bike & Walk Morristown as they celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Saris bike corral at Kings at 6 p.m. (The flyer says 7 p.m., but the event will start at 6 p.m. with the ribbon cutting, according to Kendra Arnold of Bike & Walk Morristown)

The event continues with the monthly Morristown bike ride from Town Hall and ends with the second annual Music.Picnic.Art event on the lawn of the Vail Mansion.

The Artist Baker is helping host this annual fundraiser and will be delivering picnic baskets to the lawn. Every picnic dinner ordered from the Artist Baker helps to support Bike & Walk Morristown’s  local projects. Order your picnic basket from the Artist Baker by Tuesday or you can bring your own food and join them at the Vail Mansion.

The event goes until 9 p.m. and includes music, post-riding yoga stretches and more. Go here for more information.

The County Freeholders will meet on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Township Municipal Building at 43 Schooley’s Mountain Road in Long Valley, NJ
